I am very sad and frightened! My husband, (we married on 1st June), has terminal stage 4 cancer. All our plans are out the window and I have no one to talk to. He won’t acknowledge his condition and we are simply spending the days not at hospital ignoring the elephant in the room. Is there anyone out there who can support me, as I am crying my heart out as I watch him decline. Please help me...
Hi
I am so very sorry to hear about your husband and how sad and frightened you are. It must be so hard to feed so alone, especially when you are so newly married. I really hope that you’ll find people here that you will be able to talk to, even if it’s online.
The best way to get started here in the community is to join a group where you can meet people going through similar experiences and start a discussion. There’s a couple of groups where you might get support, family and friends comes to mind, as does supporting someone with incurable cancer.

Have a look through our various Macmillan Support Line Services then call them on 0808 808 00 00 They are very helpful covering Emotional Support and Practical Information. Clinical Information and Financial Support and Work Guidance. .
We also have our Online Information and Support Section where you will find some great pages covering cancer diagnosis, treatment and information pages covering most types of cancers.
Talking to people face to face can help a lot so check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support Groups in your area or a Maggie’s Centre as these folks are amazing.
Big hug
xx
