I was diagnosed 5 weeks ago, but another lump has been found in my breast and I have to wait for another mri and biopsy. I understand about the wait but I can’t cope with this fatigue . I am shattered all the time. Has anyone else been so fatigued and dizzy?
hi
welcome to the online community
I suffered very badly with fatigue after I had the biopsy, I presume you have had at least one biopsy already ?
My breast care nurses and in fact most of the medical profession like to play down reactions to biopsies because it's such a good diagnostic tool and reactions are so rare.
If you're feeling a bit nauseous mention this too.
They will try and tell you it's all down to anxiety and to a certain extent this could also be true but I knew mine wasn't.
It is a worrying time, it's all new and confusing, why me? and all those questions we seem to ask ourselves.
We have an active breast group which has someone to chat to almost all of the time, have a look on there and join in .
If you reply to this I should get a notification but if you want to tag me use the @ symbol.
hugs

Hi
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and struggle with fatigue. It’s a very common problem and can come from the cancer itself, from treatment and from the sheer emotional impact of receiving a diagnosis. I would agree with Carolyn that biopsies can really take it out of you.
There’s lots of good info out there about managing fatigue and while this (see link below) might not all be relevant now, it might help to read it before your treatment starts

Thank you for this link, it’s got a lot of good advice in it. I have also contacted my doctor who has taken bloods. But this is brilliant thanks again x
