Hi all,
I recently had a mastectomy and auxiliary lymph node removal. I am about to start Chemo (FEC-T) next week and was wondering if anyone had any advice for the first session, is there anything that I can do to help myself so that the Chemo may not be as brutal as I am told it is going to be?
Thank you.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with breast cancer and it's great that you want to prepare yourself for your upcoming chemotherapy.
Could I suggest that you join the breast cancer group where you can ask questions and get support from others who will understand what you're going through. They have a monthly thread about chemotherapy where you can share experiences with others who are going through this treatment. Just look for the thread called 'June Breast Cancer Chemotherapy Chat' once you've joined.
To join the group just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. To ask a question or introduce yourself select 'start a discussion'. You can also respond to existing posts by clicking on 'reply'.
All the best with your upcoming treatment

Hi Latchbrook, thank you very much for the thread, it was just what I was looking for and has given me some great advice.
I don't really know what I'm doing on here but I'm learning really quickly, thanks again for your help xx
That's no problem . I'm glad I could help.
If you need any help finding your way around just shout.
