I’ve just been told I have breast cancer, feeling unsure and just numb
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community although I'm sorry you've had to find us.
I remember very well that numb feeling when I was told I had cancer but the feeling will pass and you should feel a lot more in control once you know your treatment plan.
What really helps is being able to share experiences with others who are in the same boat or who have finished their treatment. With this in mind could I point you towards the very friendly breast cancer group where you'll find lots of people who can answer your questions and give you support.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. To ask a question or introduce yourself select 'start a discussion'. You can also respond to existing posts by clicking on 'reply'.
When you feel up to it, it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Sending a supportive ((hug))
