Hi
I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 melonoma, it has been a bit of a shock as I only went into hospital as I had a severe water infection and fibroids. Whilst there I had a ct scan and it was relieved that I had numerous tumours caused by a melonoma, 3 years ago. I have been as positive as I could since the diagnosis but today I have read up about it on Google and I am now petrified of the outcome.
Whilst in hospital they said I would receive immunotherapy, has anyone had this treatment that would talk to me about it as I'm really scared for my outlook. I am 43 year old and have children so I want to live as long as I can xx
Hi and welcome to the community, although sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Many of us will be aware of what a shock it can be. The early days of uncertainty and not knowing can be hard. Firstly, try and steer clear of Google. There is a lot of out of date and misinformation out there. Could I point you to the friendly Melanoma Group . Click the link to get to the group. You can then start a new discussion there and the members with experience of this will be able to help, advise and support you. Best wishes.
