I had a biopsy taken from my toe five weeks ago, the waiting is so difficult- trying to remain positive and distracted but have to admit am exhausted by it all. Any tips would be welcome.
Hi and a warm welcome to the online community
I'm currently waiting for the results of a biopsy on a skin lesion that was removed from my arm a fortnight ago so I understand completely how difficult waiting can be.
I find the best thing to do is to try to find things to help distract myself. You could indulge a favourite past time, watch box sets, clean the house from top to bottom (mine needs doing if yours is already done!), etc.
I know it's easy to say to try not to spend your time worrying, but worrying is exhausting and won't change the outcome.
You don't say what your biopsy is looking for but if you can let me know I'll link you to a suitable group where you can chat to others in your position and find out what people who have gone through this do to cope.

My big toe had what looked like a bruise beneath the nail, I hadn’t injured myself and there was no change to position as the nail grew, my podiatrist urged me to see the GP. I was referred and seen within two weeks, a biopsy was booked in another three weeks time and now I am awaiting the results. No one has mentioned the type of cancer this might be only that it could be.
Thank you for your support.
Well I'll be keeping everything crossed that it isn't cancer .
