hi, I’m not sure where to start. My mum has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is starting chemotherapy. Can any one advise on what is the best way to look after her and to keep down the risk of infection. Thank you
Hi and welcome to the online community although I'm sorry that you've had to find us.
I didn't have chemotherapy but could I suggest that you join our chemotherapy group and post your question there as I'm sure the members of that group will be able to help you further. You may also find this information on chemotherapy helpful.
To join the group just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then post your question by selecting 'start a discussion'.
If you could tell me what type of cancer your mum has I could direct you to the group that covers it where you can ask questions about treatment and get support.
When you feel up to it, it would be really useful if could pop something about your mum's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
