Hello everyone.

Ive found myself here, looking for support from where ever i can get it right now....and am honestly very scared.

The beginning of April 2019 i found a lump in my labia , which prompted a doctors consultation.

Whilst i was there they examined me , saying they were almost certain it was a cyst but whilst i was there did a smear as i was overdue.

A few days later i recieved a dreaded letter saying i had abnormal results & required a colpscopy.

Tuesday may 7th i had the colpscopy, they found tumours and have taken several biopsys at the time...i was told i will get the results within 4 weeks.

Wednesday 8th - next hospital appointment to check lump..thankfully its a cyst but needs cutting out..but not a tumour so thats great news at least..one less thing to worry about.

Im a mother of four, 38yrs old & am petrified not knowing what the future holds in store for me...and feel a bit alone as i dont want to burden my family & friends with my emotions ..which are all over the place & i since tuesday havent stopped physically shaking.

At the moment i feel very well in general apart from being a bit sore from the biopsys on tuesday.

So hoping thats a good sign

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community

I'm not sure from what you've said if the biopsies have shown that you only have a cyst or that you're still waiting on the results of some biopsies but one has shown up a cyst. Whichever it is though I can fully understand what a worrying time you've been through.

I see that you have found the cervical cancer group and I think it would help you to chat to the other ladies there who will understand what you're going through.

If you're not sure how to get back there just click on the link I've created and then copy and paste your post from here into a new discussion there after selecting 'start a discussion'. You can also respond to posts by clicking on 'reply'.

You need to  let your family and friends  know what is going on   so you can get support  from them .

If your mum had cancer but like you said nothing  how would you feel .......  it goes two ways hun

With 4 kids do not think you have much time to sit and worry which is the best thing right now  do anything instead of thinking about the result

You get a shock at how fast 4 weeks can pass

Thankyou i shall join that group.

The external cyst is seperate from the cervical biopsy which was carried out on tuesday and am awaiting results for now.

    Hi

Ive told my immediate family & my good friend whats happening as i didnt want to keep it from them.

Helps to talk with people going through a similar thing though.

Im still working full time around the kids which is helping keep my mind occupied, so as you say hopefully those four weeks will fly past so i know more
