I have been to the hospital today to see my sister, she has terminal lung cancer and yesterday she suffered a stroke, i am devastated, and struggling to cope. I want to be with her as the doctor isnt very optimistic but i cant cope with watching her go through this, and i panic every time my phone rings. How do people cope with seeing there loved ones go through this? i just feel like i cant be strong for my sister and know i should be, she is only 52 years old
Hello
I am so sad to read about your sister. It must be awful to see your beloved sister like this and I’m not surprised you are finding it hard to be strong.
It might help to talk to others who are in the same situation as you. There is a family and friends group here in the community. If you click on this link you will be able to join that group and start a new discussion.

It sounds to me like you were very strong today when you visited your sister. I think it helps to take one day at a time and take each day as it comes. That way you only have to be strong today.
Thank you for the link, i will take each day as it comes and thank you for replying
