Hi all .I just wondered if anyone has found anything that helps with hand tremors during steroid treatment ? My boyfriend is on a decreasing steroid treatment of prednisone . Currently on 55mg and has had shakes for some time . For some reason the shakes have got worse the last few days even though the dosage has actually decreased. A physio recommended wrist weights but the only ones I have found are exercise ones and I think they would be very uncomfortable .Also I was thinking if getting him a revitive circulation booster for neuropathy in his feet .Has anyone tried these? If so we're they helpful  Thanks in advanceÂ
Hi Deva,Â
I saw this post in the routine list and have read the excellent replies you've already had. But I guess I can answer this as an asthmatic who periodically needs prednisolone due to worsening peak-flows
Yes, it gives me some grotty mood changes and shaky hands, but I find it also takes a while to work and the shakiness does stay for a while. In fact, I get the shaking a bit even with my standard inhaler which has some steroid in it.Â
I had three weeks on a fairly high dose of pred when I had a rotten case of hives a bit before my first breast op (a sentinel node biopsy to see if the breast cancer had spread to lymph nodes) and after a couple of weeks the dose has to be tailored down carefully and slowly.Â
I really hope it helps his chesty lung problems and he improves well.Â

Hi,
I’ve just come across your post and we are currently in a similar position. My husband recently finished 3 x bep, he got a cough just before the start of cycle 3. Fast forward 6 weeks and it’s still there, a chest x Ray has shown some possible changes to his lungs, but we know no more than that. They said his ct scan should be able to tell more but they’ve started him on 60mg presldone (think that’s spelt wrong but the steroids) in the mean time.
How is your boyfriend doing? As you say there’s not much information on ppl who have actually taken steroids after bep. I’ve read plenty of medical bits online about it and am now worrying all the time.
Any info would be a great help!
thanks x
