Hi, I'm new here, recently undergone surgery and waiting to start the next phase of my treatment. This is the second round with Cancer for me, although different this time. I am getting my head round the fact I'm going to lose my hair this time. Just thought I would say hi and get to speak to others who going through something similar.
Hi Nana18 a warm welcome to this community. I am so sorry to hear about all that has happened for you and continues to happen.
I cant see anything on your profile to see what type of Cancer it is you are experiencing so that I can direct you the right group for ongoing support for you. There are lots of people, around in each of the forums so most times someone around to answer and have a char with you.
Hope to hear back from you soon.
Meantime Im sending you some huge big hugs. xxxxx
Hi
When you get back to us with a little more info so we can help you get to where you need to be :)
You could check out this place for chemo headwear; which sounds as if it could have been made for you AnnaBandana.
Sorry to read you have to have another dance with the devil :)
Take care, G n' J
Hi, thank you, Im struggling to find my way around the messages here. I have had surgery for cancer of the uterus, Chemotherapy will be starting in a couple of weeks.
HI there,
Thank you, I felt very brave yesterday so as well as having a look around this site I also found AnnaBandana, loved it and have ordered some new head gear. Lots to chose from so I'm looking forward to receiving my order. I love a new hat... As for the 'dance with the devil' I'm a very good (ok enthusiastic) dancer but usually enjoy clubbersze and Zumba lol
Evening
Pleased to see you found some nice headwear at Annabandana - It seems to be a popular site to check out as it has quite a good range of styles.
There is a very active (and friendly) Womb / Uterus Group here you should join to get experienced support and advice from those who have been there, done that. If you just click / tap the coloured text link it should take you directly to the group.
When the page opens just select 'Join This Group' under the title and then you will be able to Start a New Discussion to ask whatever questions you may have, maybe regarding chemo etc. If you do, please mention the name of the chemo drugs regime you will be on (assuming you know) so those who have had the same can offer some tips to help ease any side effects.
Hope this helps get you to where you would get the most benefit.
Take care, G n' J
