Lymphoedema and mens suits

Hello,

Looking for some advice.

My husband has cancer and has had a few surgeries removing lymph nodes under the arm, his lymphoedema only really started this year. We have a few weddings to attend and he is really struggling to find a shirt and a suit that fits comfortably on his arm, it's a tight squeeze and it's too uncomfortable.

What have other men done in this situation or does anyone know somewhere that does a larger fit suit.

We're based in Glasgow.

If your husband is unable to find formal shirts and suits which feel comfortable, maybe you/he could have a word with the people who are getting married and ask if they'd mind if he wore something less formal but more comfortable. I'm sure they'd rather he be comfortable on the day rather than suffering.

As Anne says, maybe the simplest answer is to wear something comfortable. Maybe a smart roll neck or polo shirt? Perhaps a waistcoat? Money may be an issue with this but the other answer might be a tailor. Either to let out seams on something he already has or make something bespoke.
