I'm also terminal and was diagnosed last October. Renal cancer with mets in lungs and bones. I'm 53 and unfortunately my cancer is untreatable with a prognosis of 12 - 18 months.
My advice is don't focus on the terminal. I have good days and bad, but on the whole I'm doing ok. Worrying is just a drain on my mood lol
My husband worries more than me, faffs around me, checks I'm ok 100 times a day. It's his way of coping which makes it ok with me.
Currently on palliative care with my Hospice and have been asked to start thinking about my end of life plans.
Many terminal people go on for years - always focus on this.
Take care and always look after your physical and mental health.
Wishing you the very best of health my friend,
Stu
