Hi there, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm sad to be here as I'm sure we all are, but I'm grateful to find a place for support and understanding. In December 2019 I was diagnosed with stage 3 endometrial cancer after a total hysterectomy. I had 4 cycles of chemo, 25 radiotherapy and also brachytherapy. For 2 years I was NED, however in June during a routine monitoring scan they found metastasis in my lungs. I am now having chemo and I'm due a scan this month to see if it's working. If it is I will have 3 more cycles and then immunotherapy. If it's not they will try a different chemo. It's so difficult living with this hanging over me, but I have a partner and kids and want to be here for their future so I will fight with every fibre of me being. Thanks for welcoming me to this group of very special people xx
Hello RJA,
Welcome to our little gang. I'm another endometrial cancer case. You can read my details by clicking onto the name. Again, I've gone down a different route and had lots of surgery but no chemo or other treatments as yet. We're all so different but share all the common fears, all the ups and downs. Keep posting and letting us know how things are going. Don't bottle up those feelings - let them out here and we will understand. Sending you a big hug and am glad to see that you have a proactive team on your side. Rainie x
Hi RJA123, so sorry you've had to join us but I have to say that this is the best place for support and understanding you can find. No one can understand what you are going through in terms of fear, day-long worry and trepidation than those of us who are going through the exact same thoughts and concerns.
I'm a little late in coming to your help due to my eldest son's wedding reception last weekend. We all had a great time, nice to see family and friends at a happy time but wow was I fatigued.
I have a bone marrow cancer, diagnosed in March 2015. I haven't ever had chemo, my cancer isn't tackled in that way. Since March 2015 I have been treated every week in the form of a self administered injection, however I have been in some instances when I thought that the beginning of the end is near. Happily I bounced back on each occasion although the figures are always low.
I hope your chemo works well and don't forget to let us know what your scan reveals later this month. Fingers crossed the results are positive.
Take care and stay safe RJA123
