Hello
i was told today that the secondary tumours in my liver had grown significantly and rapidly and I was now looking at three months if I’m lucky. A lot to take in as I’ve been happily living in la la land for the last two years since my endometrial cancer came back.
They have offered me some chemo - Caelyx - but say there is only a small chance of it helping. I have a week to decide whether or not to go ahead and wondered if anyone had experience of this? Particularly likely side effects.
thanks for any help.
Hi Stella my lovely, and thank you my friend, but we're likely starting with 10 x 3 weekly infusions and adjusting as needed, though it all depends on no soft tissue mets, xxx
Hi Mary, I hope your doing alright and your minds made up for tomorrow.
My appointment today went ok-ish, bone mets progression as expected, but importantly no soft tissue mets, so treatment is still an option, my pain management has been passed to my palliative team who are fab, so no more delays when switching drugs and I'll see my Onc next Tuesday to go through everything. Also I've got an appointment today for tomorrow to get 2 stones removed from my urethra, after 3 weeks on antibiotics for an infection that never was, which I told him so, I've had a few, which put me in hospital for a week, hope I don't sound too miserable, but we don't need things like this. I will have everything crossed for you tomorrow that your appointment goes as well as possible.
Eddie xx
Hope your kidney stone removal goes smoothly Eddie. No you really don’t need the extra hussle. X
Hi MRH24, I’m sorry I don’t have anything about your treatment that could help you make a decision ,but I would like you to know we are here if you want to yell scream and say how unfair it all is . We all carry on knowing we are all going to make such decisions especially not being ready for it , take care thinking of you
kind regards Angie X
