  1. Well finally I have started my treatment, radiation of the neck. My lump is huge and angry but I have had 2 sessions so far. The mask isn't pleasant but at least the eyes and nose are cut out and the treatment is only a couple of minutes. I had a peg tube fitted the day before so I was feeling even more sorry for myself ..if any of you that have read my posts can believe. They took biopsies from polyps in my tummy as well for good measure. I also had a chance to speak to my Macmillan nurse who said she will do the SRI form for me so I claimed pip today. I might even be able to get my small mortgage paid off now which will help. It seems awful talking about money in this situation but it seems like there is very little I can do at the moment so trying to ease the stresses that I can. Living on my own whilst I hope to return to work, even just part time would be a blessing.

  • Hi

Im glad the treatment has started for you. Whenever anyone mentions the mask I always think it must be very daunting, but I’m glad it is over quickly for you.

Well done for sorting PIP and yes get your mortgage paid off if you can. You are going through a lot at the moment, and any pressures you can take off of yourself the better. The last thing you need is financial worries.

  • Hi Sarah, wow, I'd guess everything is now looking a lot more positive for you. I'm so happy for you that your treatment has started, pip claim has been started, you may be able to get your mortgage paid off and you're trying to ease your stresses.

Hope you can get back to work part time too to lift any clouds on the horizon. Fingers firmly crossed for you Sarah.
