Hello to you all, my partners in for no crime committed
I’ve been here for a while but this only is my second post. ️
I’ve been on THP regime since the end of May and with two more infusions left, I’ve been offered to participate in the Inavolisib trial (UK) along side my Phesgo, once my chemo is done.
Are any of you familiar with the drug? Thank you kindly
Hi Kate, it's nice to hear from you again, sorry I know very little about the drug but did research the trial, my eldest daughter has sarcoma of the breast, so she wasn't suitable, the trial information was on Cancer Research UKs find a clinical trial page, it may be helpful to you, best wishes.

Hi Eddie,
Many thanks for your speedy response :-)
I’ve seen and been through the information on Cancer Research website but I was hoping to hear from someone that has been on the trial themselves.
I was given information pack by my oncologist and was informed it will be a double blind trial too and therefore I would never know whether I was getting Inavolisib or the dummy drug.
I hope your eldest daughter is keeping well
Eddie, best wishes to you and your family too.

Sorry I couldn't help Kate, there is a dedicated breast cancer forum, the largest forum on the community, may be worth asking your question on there, I hope you find someone. My eldest daughter, Mandy is doing well thank you for asking, it's appreciated and thank you for your good wishes too,
my best wishes to you, your beautiful son and all your loved ones, take care.

Hi, I've no experience of that drug, but I did go on a medical trial. But was a simple get drug "A" which was standard treatment (I was already on it and had a good outcome), along with a new cancer vaccine. I think a blind trial is a really tricky decision. Happy to answer any generic trial questions.
I will tell you that trials at my local teaching hospital were segregated from the day treatment so I was frequently the only one there. I felt like royalty, but it didn't help my search for a cancer buddy.
Hi Kate, I am glad you decided to post again!
Like Mmum, I have been on a Trial Drug but not the same one you are talking about. There was no placebo or dummy drug on the one I was on either however it was a Combo Trial. I failed the criteria for the combo trial but my oncologist fought to get me on one of the drugs and it has been a success. It is a difficult decision knowing you may not get the drug at all but only you can make that kind of decision after talking it through with your oncologist and your family.
Please let us know what you decide!
Love Annette x
