I’m going home today! YAY after another 2.5 gruelling days in hospital. Just read this awesome Donna Ashworth poem. Yet again, she writes exactly as life is for me, in her beautiful and poignant way Thank You
Hi valleygirl
Thanks for the poem, I've not read that before, it's really true to our situation. You may be interested in a book I'm currently reading by Gabor Mate that I picked up in the airport. It's called When the body says no - the cost of hidden stress. It provides the research to the theory that repressing emotions, hiding anger etc is a factor in the development of serious illness, such as, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, ibs, and MS. It discusses the mind-body link and the medical professions view that the 2 are separate.
I hope you are feeling better after getting home from hospital. Hope you are taking it easy.
A x
Great news! Hopefully by now you are home resting. Thank you for the poem, it’s beautiful x
