I have nsclc stage 4.
My cycles are every 3 weeks
I have had three lots of carboplatin + pemetrexed + pembromizulab (supposed to be 4 but 1 cycle was cancelled)
I've had 1 lot of pemetrexed + pembromizulab.
I have 1 more lot of pemetrexed + pembromizulab coming up.
I havent had a letter with a schedule for further treatment dates. Does this mean I've had my alloted amount of treatment and that's it?
What usually happens? Will they now just monitor me? Or worse, abandon me?
What happens if things kick off again. Will they put me on more cycles?
Any advice appreciated. I have a pac appointment coming up, in which I can ask some questions, but just wanted to be forewarned, or should that be forearmed??,
Hi harebellle I am just wondering if you have had your appointment yet and have any clarification as to what is happening with your treatment ? X
Hi Harabelle
i have stage 4 lung cancer - non small cell andicarcinom...with bone metastises.
I was told I would have 4 cycles of carboplatin, permetrexed and pembrolizumab - cycles would be every 3 weeks. Then I would have 31 cycles of permetrexed and pembrolizumab so a total of 35 cycles or 2 years of treatment.
I've just had my 2nd cycle. I'm in Australia, so maybe they do things different here. I get my next appointment at the end of each treatment.
All the best to you.
Vivien
