i knew it, but was confirmed on monday, chemo no longer working and the tumour in my liver is on the march. I knew it because i have been so tired over recent weeks, Anyway, next line of defense is daily hormone blockers. Fingers crossed. Other reason i am feeling bad is, blurry eyes are making driving impossible so am having to rely on lifts. I am seeing opthamologist on thurs to see if anything can help. If not, bye bye car,. boo.

have had house assessed by OT and she has reccomended some usful aids.Even set up dog walker so she can take them out when i cant face it -like today. except she has gone on holiday for 2 weeks. how inconsiderate!

Daughter came over at weekend to see me and her dad, who was in icu for 4 weeks . He came out last week but then he, his parner and my daughter all tested positive for covid. She left here as soon as she knew, but was worried i would have got it- lucily all testss negative so far.

sorry for self pity, and compared to remoh and keepfighting, i am still lucky, but exhaustion is so tiring!

xx

  • Its not self pity, we all feel like this at times, and have our down moments, Sorry to hear the news, but they are going to try some thing else, so that is god news,

If they make your home more accessible for you, will make your life easier in one way. none of us like to Amit at times we may need some help, but is only for your benefit and you will think what a difference it has made to all your family.

So moan as much as you like, we are all hear to listen, and you will listen when i moan.

  • Bummer.  But that's what we're here for because one day it will be us looking for a friend and support.  It's good that there is another treatment plan to try and you weren't left in limbo land whilst more scans, meetings, and results were sought.  Fingers crossed the covid defence is strong.  My optician advised hyco san extra drops for dry eye (best one he said).

  • Oh OBS i feel so sad....not good news...but if there is something they will try to help that's good. Fingers crossed. Big hug to you!!!

  • Dear OBS, I am sorry to hear your news. I do hope that the new treatment helps with the fatigue, and that they keep on finding new ways to help you. Despite the fatigue you have organised the OT assessment, made arrangements for your dogs and booked to see the ophthalmologist, not to mention reaching out to your friends here; we are all glad to listen and support you however we can.

    Love and big hugs

  • Hi OBS sorry your having a bad time at present. The tiredness is awful, as for your eyes, I hope it sorted soon. It's awful when uou can't drive for any reason, so good luke with it all. • Dear OBS, Sorry to hear you've all this to deal with. But already another treatment option is being put in place and that's positive. You've also taken steps to make life easier, and all this whilst feeling wiped out. Time to re-group, build your reserves up a bit and let other people do stuff instead. Fingers crossed for you and hope the hormones sort the bugger out. Hugs from Rainie x
