Hi Folks
Recently returned from our knackering whirlwind visit down south to catch up with family we haven't seen for 3 years. It was back to back visits, tiring but lovely to meet them all again, especially the 2 great grandchildren for the first time. I don't normally think kids are adorable (none of my own) but these 2 definitely are!
We're supposed to bring back brother-in-law (87) but he decided the journey 4.5 hours would be too much in the heat.
Anyway I've started to get this pain back on my right side, same place as when it started when it first recurred last year. (That turned out to be a mass between my lungs and my liver) Hoped it was a muscle pull but it's steadily getting worse. Booked a blood test for next week to check my CA125 markers so will see if anything's changing. Alerted my Oncologist's secretary to look out for results. Oncologits has just gone on holiday for 3 weeks (He's Spanish so gone home with family) but she's reassured me she alert another Oncologist if action like CT scan needed.
I've got a very very trembly bottom lip. Last CT scan in May showed metastatic deposits hardly visible so it can't have come back that quickly can it?
Cacking myself but thankfully the bowel problems, as yet, haven't reappeared.
Hugs to all, Barb xx
Aw Barb, sorry to hear this. I do hope it's a pulled muscle or just the way you were sitting on your long journeys. Let us know how you get on, thinking of you and hoping it is not that.

Hi Barb
I hope this latest pain is completely unrelated to your cancer.
I empathise with you as I have started to get pains in my right leg and have been limping around for the last few days
I don't mind if my arms get weak (secondary bone cance) but am terrified of it reachinf my legs as that could severely affect my quality of life. I love walking and cycling and lots of other things that requires legs!
Sorry, I've just realised I've made this post about me.
But just wanted you to know that I feel for you. Every new pain is a worry when you have cancer. Xxxx
Hopefully with both of us its a pulled muscle or a sprain or just the usual wear and tear of getting older.
Hey Barb, I often get twinges in my side. You lie there in bed at night and just wonder don't you? But whenever I mention this to surgeon or onco they always say it's likely just the scar tissue - of which I feel there is a copious amount. I've a date for my next scan on 6th August, so it's in the pipeline, but sometimes I think that if I did act on every sensation, I'd have a permanent chair with my name on it in the waiting room. With you in virtual support my friend. Hugs as ever, Rainie x
