Hi.
So, I had my CT scan last Friday, and have my review booked for this Thursday to see if tumour has reacted to the radiotherapy.
This afternoon, I get a call from the pharmacy at Southampton hospital, asking if I’d had a blood test recently. I haven’t had any blood tests that I can think of, regarding the cancer. I said why, she said ‘because everyone needs them…. ‘
For what, I asked? She just said, ‘oh if consultant needs to give you one, she’ll sort it’
Does she know something I don’t??? She couldn’t get off phone fast enough when I questioned it. Made me panic more tbh, as if I’m not petrified enough!
Thanks
Jane xx
That does sound strange. Having said that every 28 days I have to have a blood test that the pharmacist then looks over before I get my chemotherapy treatment. My oncologist and the pharmacist won’t sign them off until they are both happy with the results.
If you asked and they’re just as confused then I wouldn’t worry about it though
