Hi.
So, I had my CT scan last Friday, and have my review booked for this Thursday to see if tumour has reacted to the radiotherapy.
This afternoon, I get a call from the pharmacy at Southampton hospital, asking if I’d had a blood test recently. I haven’t had any blood tests that I can think of, regarding the cancer. I said why, she said ‘because everyone needs them…. ‘
For what, I asked? She just said, ‘oh if consultant needs to give you one, she’ll sort it’
Does she know something I don’t??? She couldn’t get off phone fast enough when I questioned it. Made me panic more tbh, as if I’m not petrified enough!
Thanks
Jane xx
Very strange Jane, can’t really see why your pharmacist would call to ask you that. My Pharmacy wouldn’t have a contact number for me. Have you put in a recent prescription ? X
I’m very confused and even asked sarcoma nurse, she said she had no idea.
I don’t get any medication from there at all.

It was Southampton pharmacy that called, that’s usually the number that Dr Keay uses to call me, which is why I panicked as thought it was urgent and not waiting till Thursday. X
Jane if you have spoken to the nurses and they have no idea, then please don’t worry. There has been a mix up with pharmacy somewhere, I am sure it is fine. X
Thank you, I hope so. Everything just sends me into a panic!
xx
Hi Jane, that sounds very odd, if that had happened to me, I would have been down both pharmacy and doctors to find out, peace of mind rules.
All the best Ulls
