I listened to this 15 minute broadcast earlier and thought I would post the link in case anyone else would like to listen.

Her book on the subject is excellent and I have reccomended it on here many time ( With the End in Mind). The talk is a precis of the most important part - the process of death, and is designed to alleviate fear.

Some of you wont want to listen, but on this forum we have to face up to the fact that we are all on a road with an inveitable end, and so for those who want to listen, I hope you will find it enlightening and comforting. I am not religious, and the talk is not either.

    Hi Jess,

Glad you found it interesting. Death is a scarey topic which too few people are prepared to talk about, including people decades older than you. Talking about it alleviates fear . I hope we can all find people in our lives who will not shut down conversations, whether that is a friend, family member or professional

Hi ownedbystaffies, yes I totally agree. It is something so many people don't wish or like to talk about. But it's something I feel does need to be talked about especially when your in this kind of dreadful situation. My sister would never talk about this, but my dad probs will so I'll try at some point.

Lots of hugs to you xx

  • Thanks for posting the link. That was really interesting, I often wondered how death starts to get a further grip of us.

I recommended it to my husband and I was pleasantly surprised when he agreed to listen to it and said he thought it would be of use. He really doesn't express his feelings outwardly hence why I was surprised.
