Hi all, is anyone on ribociclib? I am on week 2 of my 2nd cycle and I feel worse than I did on the first cycle. Mostly I just feel sick but then I get so tired it's hard keeping my eyes open (not good for a hairstylist) was wondering how others cope on the same meds, I'm also on letrazole, I had been on tamoxifen but it stopped working a few months ago. I'm hoping that the side effects are just due to the change over and hopefully will get easier in time. Any advice would be appreciated. X
Hi lily0403
I was on ribociclib for about 12 months. I think I was lucky and had few side effects. The trouble is everyone is different and so one person may experience it very differently than another. Fatigue is such a common side effect of cancer drugs and of course, nausea. As you say lets hope it is the move from one drug to another, and your body getting used to it. I would post on the secondary breast cancer forum to get a wider response as that is a much more specific forum than than this one and more people are likely to have experience of ribociclib.
As for the nausea - sipping ginger cordial or eating anything with real ginger in it can really help.
Good luck.
xx
Yes I have heard ginger is good so I got some ginger tea I will speck to the doctor when I see him next week. Like I said I hope it is just the transition to different meds. Thanks for your reply. X
