Jim788 here phone consultation coming up 21st Friday question got to ask palliative chemotherapy cant go on for ever I have been having difficulties with constipation and getting the laxatives right bad few days the last consultation I had was my cancer was staple so the palliative chemotherapy was doing its job so for me worth the discomfort does anyone know what happens next when chemotherapy ends just want to be pre warned before I ask the question all the best to you all my second family
Hi Jim.,
When chemo stopped working for me I went onto immunotherapy. I see that pembrolizumab can be effective for prostate cancer, so maybe there would be a trial of that you could join.
For now, if the chemo is keeping you stable, and you're tolerating the side effects, then happy days.
