hi
today I had the first of, hopefully, 6 rounds of docetaxel. Everything was straightforward and there were no adverse reactions to the chemo, thank goodness.
I was sent home with injections to do each day for the next 5 days. Yesterday at my pre chemo chat, the nurse told me someone would show me how to do it. Unfortunately it went clean out of my head and must have gone the same way for the nurses as no-one showed me how. I haven’t the first clue of how to do it.
Does anyone know where I can find a video to watch as I’m more visual than verbal.
thanks

I'm also on docetaxel and have received 5 from 6 cycles of chemotherapy.
If you have forgotten, why not contact your GP asap and ask could the district nurse come out today and show you.
Failing that do you have call the 24 helpline through the hospital.
You could call them, and they may invite you back to have it done.
Good luck with this, I hope you get it sorted out.
Please take care and stay safe

Thanks everyone.
Gp surgery shut and district nurses couldn’t guarantee they could get to me.
Thank goodness the pharmacy is local. Wouldn’t do it for me but explained it to me.
Ive done it now, hopefully I got it right.

So pleased you got it sorted.
I've been wondering how you went on all day.
Good luck with everything moving forward.
You can relax now.

, I have just read your post, I'm too late to tell you that I have given myself around 250 injections. Unfortunately I don't think I could have helped because my injections are by a pre-loaded spring loaded syringe. I'd guess yours isn't like that. I'm glad you managed to get help. Well done.
