Hi everyone,
I was told last week that my treatment wasn't working and the only option was to help manage my pain over the next few months.
This has come as a shock to say the least and there has been lots of tears, anger and frustration as im just not ready to go anywhere yet!
That said I want to make the most of whatever is left, but the prognosis has left me feeling a bit worthless - e.g. whats the point in spending that on yourself you wont be here etc. People now ask me what I used to do for work rather than what I do for work things like that bring it home that everything has changed.
Ive a wonderful supportive family who I can talk to and Im working with the palliative team in the community etc but would appreciate any tips for keeping focus on the good from those with lived experienced.
