Good morning everyone. Welcome to the July thread of chit chat.

  • Hi Angie sorry that you haven't had your scan results yet, but good new about cellulitis eventually clearing up  Enjoy Wimbledon Stella.  Hope you enjoyed your fireworks Stacy and family visiting you.  Love to everyone and hope all stay cool.

  • Hi Stella,

I hope you had a wonderful time at Wimbledon, and I'm glad your seat was in the shade! My niece and nephews loved seeing the fireworks this year from the comfort of the AC with a great vantage point. That's probably the only positive from me being here for so long. I just loved seeing them happy and enjoying the fireworks.

On another positive note, I'm taking my first day trip on Sunday, I've managed to make it to 6 hours wearing the prosthetic, as I try to push that time a little more each day. It's a constant juggling act and delicate balance between the phantom pain, and the discomfort from it, but my realistic goal is to be released by the end of the month. It's supposed to be cloudy on Sunday, but I really need this right now for my mental health.

I'm also very sorry to say that my mom and I will be rooting for Norway in the World Cup game tomorrow against England, I hope you guys can forgive me! We've become totally captivated by Haaland and all of the hilarious videos of him during his time here with his teammates, especially the shopping and eating videos.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Go Norway!

    ~Stacy

  • Hi Stacy, that's nice that you could share the fireworks with your loved ones and even nicer that you are at last getting out for a little while. Where are you going?

Don't apologise for supporting Norway, they have captivated a lot of hearts on their journey and you will have a chance to recalibrate on Sunday anyway after England win? Upside down

  • Ha ha Patrick we will have to wait and see.  I really hope you enjoy your day out on Sunday Stacy, it will feel great to be out and about.  I really hope that you are home by the end of the month.  My dogs, fish (the water is getting too hot)  and birds are melting in this heat.

  • Good morning Stacy, have a lovely day out tomorrow with your mum. It will hopefully set your mind in a more peaceful place. You are truly an amazing young lady and will be an inspiration for many folk to come. I am in no doubt about that. I am hoping Norway will win as well, not because I am anti-English, but like yourself love their celebrations. Haaland looks just like some old resurgent Viking. I can imagine him wielding a battle axe and shout out to Odin and Thor. It is a rainy and slightly cooler day her so a good excuse to watch Wimbledon and be cosy inside. Sending a big hug across the Pond to you and your loved ones

Have a fantastic time on Sunday. X

  • BTW we. Had a wonderful time in Wimbledon great atmosphere with the British guy playing.

I had my lung ablation down yesterday so no more visible cancer Raised hands.

But it was close to a blood vessel so there is a blood clot formed due to ablation . now need to stay in for another night at the hospital and on a blood thinner for 3-6 months.

  • Hi Stella, great news about the cancer. Enjoy the football later, one of you will have cause for celebration.

  • Afternoon Stella, like Patrick already said ‘congratulations’ on no visible Cancer. I am so happy for you, Craig and of course Winston. What a delightful change 12 months can make. Enjoy the tennis and the football today. Love and a gentle hug from
