Hi all
Here's your new chit-chat thread for June!
Hope it helps you all feel connected, do let us know if you need any further support, we're here to help
Morning Rose, I'm not sure we've talked before, but it's nice to meet you, and I love your attitude to life as it's one I share.
That's wonderful your enjoying a month in Devon and Cornwall, two of my favourites, with the Isles of Scilly our 2nd home. I'm their now with family till the end of the month but need to go home twice for appointments, to Yorkshire! Grrr.
Hey Rose I too love a dip in the sea, ours is a balmy 15⁰, but I've just changed my pain relief which is causing minor hallucinations, they should stop in a day or two, but I don't want to be swimming after mermaids, so staying safely on land.
I hope your holiday is everything you hope for, the weather's meant to pick up, so hopefully we'll both be in the sea more often.
PS I believe the bird is a Jackdaw.
love Eddie and family xx
Yes Sideways, as Eddie and Lee have said, it's definitely a jackdaw.
I have been thinking that Mrs Tvman and I could head to Sligo on Monday or Tuesday for a couple of days but I haven't said to her yet. She had a really difficult day yesterday, due to having rectal cancer about 3 years ago. She had chemo and radiotherapy for 14 months (not constantly) and having spoken to others on this forum it'll take a while to settle down, if ever!
I know she'll not want to go unless she has a couple of "normal" days but I think we could both do with a break.
Just remembered that I have bloods to be done on Wednesday and she has an appointment with the GP on the same day. Life gives you an unwelcome kick in the teeth sometimes.
I love Sligo, especially sitting at a cafe beside the river and the little weir. Just listening to the water flowing is therapeutic. Then there's Strandhill too, what a beach. Reminds me of the north coast lol.
Tvman x
Absolutely Lee, but there are many other places that are just as beautiful in their own way.
Mrs Tvman's hip replacement was a real success but she was very worried when she fell in the front lawn a couple of weeks ago. Luckily she didn't do any lasting damage, just a badly bruised knee.
Thanks for asking, Lee
Tvman x
Thanks, now I know it's a jackdaw!
It's good to hear your wife's fall wasn't too serious. It can give you a fright alright. I once twisted my ankle coming down from the clothes line...and immediately had a little path laid...at the time, it was probably overkill but now it's very handy.
Maybe you could make a quick run to Sligo after Wednesday ... isn't it annoying when medical appointments get in the way of living
Rose
