Hi all
Here's your new chit-chat thread for June!
Hope it helps you all feel connected, do let us know if you need any further support, we're here to help
That's great news about little Evie, such a shock it's been for everyone.
We're as well as can be expected thanks. Spent a couple of hours in Downpatrick A&E yesterday morning because Mrs Tvman fell on the front lawn a couple of days ago and hurt her knee. She was worried about her new hip but x-rays showed all was well regarding her hip, just heavy bruising around the knee area. Big relief.
Have a great time in the Scillies Eddie

I'm so pleased Mrs Tvman has only bruises to manage with my friend, and what a relief for you both as you say, and I hope her knee isn't too sore and improving.
Evie's scan and blood results this morning, so we'll know soon if she's ok to come with us, we've not told her she's coming yet, as to be denied at the last minute would break her heart, xxx
I am sorry to hear about Mrs Tvman fall but glad it is only bruising. Good luck with little Evie's scan today Eddie and good luck Stella. Hope you have the most amazing day with your friend Stacy, a great tonic. I have a zoom Tai Chi class today its great, nice and gentle. Enjoy the Scilly Isles.

eddiel you must be very patient to paint like that, it must take hours! I like the last doggie picture as his eyes look so real!
The deer was back at home. We are lucky to live with woods behind us, and we see quite a lot of wildlife.
Thinking of you today I hope it all goes well and you are soon back home.
I hope you are doing well Stacy, and that your appointment went well this week.
hope Mrs tvman isn’t too badly bruised.
We have had a great few days away in Essex, and are now travelling back home. Alfie has had a fantastic holiday, we were lucky enough with the weather, we could get out and about and managed to dodge the showers. If it has been as hot as last week, we wouldn’t have gone, so counting our blessings.
Hi Chelle, glad the weather was kind to you at the seaside, and wish you a safe journey home, hey I'm not good at doing nothing and with having limited energy these days, need to rest more, paintings a huge help to that, and I'd recommend it to everyone on here
We're going the other way Chelle, off to the Scilly's, and Evie's consultants happy for her to join us, but we both have to be home for appointments on the 15th, though looking forward to 9 days with family at my favourite place.
When are you returning to Essex my friend?, and how are you doing?,
love Eddie and family xx
That is great news that little Evie is able to join you! Have a wonderful time, I know how special the scilly’s is to you. We will return to Essex in September. We will be staying at Walton on the Naze, a Beautiful seaside town, where time has stood still. We will have a beach hut that week, and will spend the week right on the beach. Before then we will be busy moving, as we have found a bungalow! the stairs being too much for me now. Xx
That's wonderful news Chelle, finding a bungalow, did you find one closer to the coast?, I imagine they come with a premium price, you'll love it my friend, though it's likely you'll not have space for all your things, which can be tough. We're replacing the door steps for ramps and considering threshold free doors/frames
Sheila and I live in a bungalow, and don't miss the stairs for a second, I'd go as far to say the stairs affected my behaviour and health in a negative way.
We looked up Walton on the Naze, when you mentioned it before, and as Sheila, her family and I are having a few days in Cambridge, will likely visit as it's only about 1½ hours away,
Little Evie didn't know about her holiday until her surgeon gave the green light, she was so happy till we told her we'd been setting off in a hour, bless, mum had already done her packing.
love Eddie, Evie and family xx
We are only moving 10 minutes drive away. You will love Walton on the Naze! The beach is amazing. If you go past the pier to the beach huts, there is a lovely promenade which you can walk all the way to Frinton on Sea (not that I’ve ever done it, much too far for me)
Will share photo of some beach huts from Walton, this was from a couple of years ago.
Sheila and I were only 6 miles apart Chelle, before we moved in together, it didn't seem much either, hopefully your move throws up fewer, better still no issues my friend.
That whole area of Essex looks beautiful, with lots of areas for nature, which we love, and Frinton on Sea would be lovely to visit, but nearly 2 miles, walking sadly not much chance of that, but you've certainly sold me on going.
At the Lakes last weekend we saw this little fella in the garden. xx
Hi Chelle, Walton on the Naze sounds great, I googled it and wow, there are loads of beach huts and a massive beach. The only downside is that there's a lot of coastal erosion.
So you're moving to a bungalow? You'll find it easier to get around the place and you won't be troubled by struggling with stairs. Mrs Tvman and I have lived in a bungalow since 1986 when we had a new bungalow built in the countryside. The six years I struggled with my serious back condition from 2016 to 2022 were thankfully not compounded with stairs. At least I was able to make my way around the house moving from chair to chair or stool. I had an OT girl come to my home and gave me various aids.
You'll appreciate the one floor living very quickly I would imagine. Hope you settle in soon.
