Hi all
Here's your new chit-chat thread for June!
Hope it helps you all feel connected, do let us know if you need any further support, we're here to help
Wow, that sounds very difficult. I know the phantom pain can be very difficult to manage and I imagine that is terrible.
I hope this gets easier for you.
I was never planning to travel. I am homebound. I did have a drain come out last week and got to spend a few hours at the hospital getting it reinserted though. That passes as excitement around here
Well my wonderful friends, the photo is of St Michael's Mount, taken just outside Penzance railway station.
Stacy, I want you to know your in my family's and my thoughts and prayers, and we do have a portable air-con unit which is priceless at times.
Chelle you would love the Scilly's, even in winter as it has a very temperate climate, your sunflowers are lovely and yes I knew they were the symbol for sarcoma, my eldest daughter had sarcoma of the breast 20 months ago, so follow Sarcoma UK, even going to a few seminars, PS Mandy's doing well as I hope Archie is in the heat.
Thanks Patrick, 40⁰ is a bit much my friend, as you say, we're retired so can do as we please , I find wrapping your pulse points, neck and wrists, with something cold, cools the body quickest.
Rose that sounds like a perfect day, I love you like swimming, as do I, but it's just 15⁰ here and the family won't join me, so I bought a friend who will, have a lovely evening and a safe journey home.
Hi Chelle, I've been following the weather forecast and temperatures closely and I was aware how hot it is in the south coast. Here in Northern Ireland Alexa has just told me it's 18°C. I've been in the south of France before when it was so hot that it wasn't a good idea to be out in the sun as well as fires breaking out all around us.
Take care Chelle and follow all the health guidelines to try to stay cool.
Tvman x
Hi All,
I can report 28° here on the west coast and the sea has reached 18°, so getting wet is harder, but the swim is more fun.
And talk about silver linings, this morning my oncologist appointment was postponed by another week, so - anxious as I am - it gives us another day by the sea. Which I am grabbing with both arms.
Rose
Hi Rose, that's great getting an extra day in such beautiful conditions, enjoy your dip in the sea, which is what we are, but I'm sorry your Onco apntm been put back a little, it's just one of those things we can do without.
A couple more pics of the Scilly's, xx

It looks beautiful Eddie, very peaceful x
Wow, that looks beautiful and tranquil Eddie.
It is very warm here especially today. Already 28C at 8am. Unfortunately I have to have my car windscreen replaced in the middle of the day :( My right lung ablation has been moved from the 3rd to 10th of July. I had a post graduate dental course booked on the same day. Every time I have a course booked, it has to be cancelled due to some medical procedure. Maybe it is a hint on returning to work?!
Patrick how long is your heat wave going to last? Ours will finish in Sunday, can’t wait.
Hope every one is keeping well in the heat. X
