  • Hiya Stacy,

I can’t get out at present with the car, due to very heavy snow since last week. With the help of my neighbour I de-snowed the car yesterday and removed  nearly 19 inches of the roof. Just  started to snow again and it’s very heavy with big flakes. Oh well, just have to stay in the house and read my books I received as gifts for Christmas and cosy up with Lilly. My roof is full of snow and has now blocked my satellite dish.

My thoughts were with Stella and her husband Craig last night as well. I hope she is doing ok and that the operation was a success. Sending you a big hug and cuddle, love

    Angie and Lilly xx

  • Dear me TVman, not the weather you would like for a new kitchen installation. No doubt it will be worthwhile when it’s all finished. We have oodles of snow too. My satellite dish is now covered with snow and no reception. Glad I got books for Christmas and downloaded a few on my kindle over the last week. Lilly is not a happy little cat at present. She hates the snow and is in a serious huff mode.
Great that the little one is home and doing well. Hope her mum is doing ok too xx enjoy the rest of your day and hugs to all the Tvmans around. Love from

  • Hi Angie I was going to ask you how Lilly was in the snow.  Ours has mostly melted today and it is 0 degrees which is a bit warmer.  More snow forecast for later.  I also have been thinking of Stella and hoping that the operation was successful.  I am also praying that you are getting better everyday Stacy and glad you are at home with family.   Enjoy your little Violet Tvman and nice new kitchen.  Good luck today with treatment Patrick.  How does your little dog like the snow Chelle?  Stay safe everyone.

  • Hi Lee, our little coveting of snow turned to ice very quickly so he couldn’t really play in it unfortunately. We had rain overnight so it has all gone now, just hoping that doesn’t freeze overnight again ! X

  • Good morning Lee, Lilly is not a lover of snow at all. She has been in some huffs over the last week. Not a paw outside the kitchen door. We have had so much snow it’s unreal. I still can’t get outGrinningn the road. Another warning for snow from 10pm tonight until tomorrow. schools still closed and doubtful if they open this week at all.. fun and games here in abundance. Hope you are doing ok and are not to affected by the weather. Stay warm and safe, hugs all round from

  • Good morning,

I do hope that you and your nearest and dearest did not sustain any damage during the horrendous weather you have been experiencing since last night. Thinking of you all and sending a big warm hug

  • It's raining now here but will freeze overnight and lots of snow forecast for tomorrow, I'm staying put and cosy. Hope you are all warm and comfortable.

    Patrick xx

  • Hi Patrick, a myriad of problems with us, we're getting a new kitchen installed and also the wall between the kitchen and dining room has been knocked down. We're also having the patio doors made wider and extended out. As a consequence of all that we've no fixed kitchen appliances working as they have all been disconnected ie ovens, hob, dishwasher and sink. Oh, kitchen and dining room radiators are disconnected too. Around the sides of the kitchen, utility and dining room they're open to cold, cold wind and it's freezing in that part of the house.

We're cooking in a small bedroom with a microwave, kettle and air fryer. The fridge freezer and small kitchen table are both in the bedroom as well! The heating is on all day because the front and back doors are open quite a lot.

We have another 2 weeks of the same. On a more positive note, our weather is changing from the cold northerly winds to westerlies and 11°C is forecast for Sunday, the warmest in the UK.

We didn't have any gales and rain today and my heart goes out to those who have no power and or no roof. I know only too well how miserable it is when we have no power for almost a week and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Warmer weather is coming to all from Monday because of the change in wind direction.

    Take care everyone

Ps Patrick, I don't know what German is going to get over the next week or two but fingers crossed for you.

    Love life and family.
  • Wow, tvman, you are living like born-again students! What fun lol. Seriously though, be careful not to sit in chilly, drafty places and just dream of the finished place over your cold tins of ravioli. We really did do that back yonks ago. The weekend us going to be freezing and hazardous here so car stays in garage, Patrick stays in warm living room. Hope everyone is okay. Angie, can you get out of the house yet?

    Thinking of you Stella
