Hi Stella, well, the kitchen is about finished. We have to wait until Wednesday I think for the quartz worktop to be installed. It's either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday before the new, larger patio doors to will be fitted. The plumber was here today and installed the new upright radiators. Then the patio walls will be built and the same 1 meter square porcelain tiles that are the same as in the kitchen will be laid, steps down to the side/back garden to be made. The patio was expected to be made but there's been so much rain every day and it's just been important to build it.
Maybe by the end of next week everything will be finished so then the decorating might start.
Mrs Tvman is still having toilet issues which may carry on for up to a year. Thankfully the good old NHS are supplying plenty of pads. You probably know the score Stella, never seems to quieten down.
Next trip for us will be to go to Glasgow to see our beautiful granddaughter for the first time. Then maybe over to Peterborough to see our daughter, sil and the two grandchildren although they are coming at Easter. Our son who works in Dundalk in the Republic of Ireland will be here too for a couple of days at Easter. (He's going to Bolivia to see his wife for a couple of weeks at the end of February. Long story.) I think it'll be about a year before she comes to stay with him permanently. It's just not possible for her to come to the UK to live because of many hoops to jump through. Maybe if she got to France and got here by boat she could be here within a month!!!!
Sorry I got carried away, didn't mean to write so much but there's a lot going on.

Progress seems to be steady despite the weather tvman. You won't know the place by the time they've finished. I bet you are looking forward to the latest addition to the family. The story with your son is fascinating on two counts: what a brilliant leap to working in Dundalk from when we were young. Second, I would like to imagine that the Bolivian connection is like some romantic mystery but is unfortunately probably only due to burocrats being let loose and tormenting innocent people. Anyway, you and Mrs tvman enjoy all that is coming your way
