Good morning everyone. I have just looked at the qualifying criteria for blue badges and wondered if any of you would share advice your experience.
i receive full Attendance Allowance because of my terminal diagnosis but understand this alone does not make me eligible for a blue badge.
I do experience breathlessness and pain when walking relatively short distances. Has anyone successfully applied for a blue badge based on their cancer symptoms or long term effects of cancer treatment?
thank you in advance
Yes I did (well my daughter did the actual application for me) MacMillan gave us brilliant advice on how to fill in the form and the process. I was struggling to walk, feeling breathless and very fatigued. I was concerned about applying but in the end it was very straightforward and I recemy badge very quickly - it’s made a massive difference to my quality of live as I fell much more confident getting out and about knowing I’ll be able to park easier. Good luck
