Good morning everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for August. If you would like to catch up on July's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Hi Lucy, Thank you. I’ve always been a positive person and cancer has not changed that.
Last Sunday my niece gave birth to her first child at 37 & I’m pleased mum & son doing well, isn’t life wonderful!! Take care!
Love Annette x
Morning all
My cardio appointment was cancelled yesterday, and moved to next week, so I have nothing to report.
However, we've had the best news! Dumfries is going to have a Maggie's Centre!
This has been proposed and put back several times over the last 10 years, Dumfries' hospital board being difficult....but they've finally given it the go ahead.
I wonder if I'll be around when it's finished?? Hope so! A new target for me.....
xxxx Kate
Oh ellie 73 that isn’t good. I hope you got what you needed in the end ? I don’t know why the GP surgery’s have so many obstacles they seem to put in our way! It’s so frustrating xx
Puddock that is marvellous news! I think maggies are a wonderful centre, such a shame that not everyone can have the access to one x
As yet no one from the surgery got back to me, got of the phone at 8.10.
The Hospice said I need district nurse in, and that comes under your gp as they are your primary care provider, which I ponied out, my gp on holiday, though will get a ,locum to phone, still waiting, give me strength.
That’s bad ellie 73 straight back on the phone in the morning then x
I hope you got that sorted Ellie. I've managed to sort out insurance and have booked flights to Thailand for October. Anyone heard from Eddie or Stella? Have a good weekend everyone and take it easy.
Patrick xx
