Hi everybody, So it went lot better than I thought. I just have one of the cancers that is pushing two of my discs into spinal cord. I have been having pains in my chest and I think that's what's caused it. He called me in early as I am to have radiotherapy for this next week. I am also going to have to wear a back brace I think. Also have to stop all medication for two weeks as I have some red sores appearing on my body. Stopping medication to see if this is what is causing it. So I am quite grateful as it could have been worse. I would like to say thank you to everybody for all the messages and being so supportive. How did you get on today J Daniels? I hope everyone is keeping cool and hydrated in this hot weather. Hello Moi I met you on another thread.
Lee 2 x
Glad it went well today Lee2. Hope you can have a relax evening x
This is what my son posted on my group whatsapp.
Hospital visit - so we have the treatment method they will be doing a combined immunotherapy and chemotherapy. The measure of success will be based on shrinkage of the lymph nodes and also the fluid productions on lungs would decrease which may reduce the issues she is having on the side. There will be a bit more prodding and tests bloods, xray & scans. Treatment will be looking to start a week on Friday 18th. There MAY be a raft of side effects with treatment as it is a more general approach so does also attack normal cells. The treatment will be 3 weeks for 3 months so 4 cycles.
I really didn't take much in but hete's hoping the treatment works
