Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for June. If you would like to catch up on May's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Looks beautifully peaceful Stella
Had my onc appointment- no change from March scans, yippeeeee !
I am being referred back to my surgeon for my abdominal symptoms as my oncologist thinks possibly adhesions - they would typically present 6 months+ post surgery . I will keep pushing on it until we get to the cause of the pain and bloating
Blood tests are all good and I seem to be tolerating the targeted therapy well with no signs of neuropathy after 6 months of dose dense chemo and 3 further months of bevacizumab so far - I feel lucky with that
Feels good to be able to share the positive news with my family and close friends- always the best bit
Now to focus on the next 3 months and make the most of every day as life can change in a second (for anyone)

You are doing everything right Stella, how is the food?

That’s great news L1964 have a great time celebrating at the weekend x
Great news Lucy! So happy for you Hope the surgeon can sort out your other issues soon.
Have a lovely weekend xx
The food has been excellent and lots cheaper than UK. Pasta dishes are amazing and cakes are great too. Light and not too sweet.
Good morning. Cake looks yummy Stella, love pasta too. Brilliant news Lucy, fingers crossed long may it last. It has been too hot to walk my dogs the past few days and I feel a bit lazy. The neuropathy in my feet gets worse when I am not active. Tried to garden a bit yesterday but got too hot so just sat in the shade. We have now made a decision not to go back to South Africa to live. We have put our house over there on the market. I feel really sad as I so wanted to live near my brother. On the plus side he said he will plan a holiday over here next Summer. Have a sunshiny day everyone. If I cant take the heat here, maybe I wouldnt have coped very well in South Africa.
