Good morning all everyone,

Just setting up a new chat thread for May. If you would like to catch up on April's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.

The chit chat thread is for:

Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!

Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.

If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.

  •    so glad to see you have had stable scan results. Long may that continue.

sorry you are not feeling that great, and you may miss your holiday. What really concerned me was that you said it was a “house swap” so if you were going there, and they were coming to you, where will you stay if you can’t go?

I am suffering with really bad migraines at the moment which are effecting my sight, so I’ve not been on very much, and this thread is far too long to go all the way through. Nearly time for a new one! hope everyone is doing ok, and send lots of good wishes to you all.

  • Morning Chelle, sorry to hear about your migraines, l remember how awful they affected you, and I'm so thankful mine stopped, and hope your feeling better today, how's Archie?

I'm not too bad my friend, fatigue is tough, but I know I have to push through it, lots of bone pain, "osteoporosis" + anaemia, doesn't help nor do my CRP flare-ups which are concerning.

The house swap wasn't my house,Chelle, but with my aunties in Scotland, Banavie, Nr Fort William,

    Eddie xx

  • Morning

Sorry you are a little under parr, hopefully things wll improve.

Yes can still drink a glass pf wine, the tablets are 120mg each and I take eight same time every night.

Though have to drink loads of water, so no room for any chocolate, sad.

I am so pleased you are going to Ulls Cremation, i thank you for doing what you have.

    You take Care. x

  • I’m sorry to hear that  that can’t be easy for you.
I am glad you are not having to put up a tent in your garden though, as I had visions of you doing so during this house swap

Alfie is a little sweetie, but I had quite forgotten how much hard work puppies are!! I’m sure the 5am starts are not helping my migraines. X

  • Good morning

I had my chemotherapy yesterday 11/12! Feeling a bit nauseous and tired. So probably will be quiet for next few days. May have to catch up in the June forum.

Ellie hope your migraine will easy up. It must be terrible to have.
Eddie : hope you can manage your symptoms better and the can go to your Greece holiday.

Alana thank you for your post. It is a great round up and helped me to catch up on every one. Winston has been a good boy. But as I was resting more, he keeps popping up and head butting me. He looks a bit worried and tried to make me play with him. He is a sensitive and sweet boy

We had heavy shower and rain here. Some of my roses have balled up, ashame  as it is at its prime with lots of flowers.
Have a relaxing day everyone x

  • Hi everyone.  Hope you start feeling better soon Stella and Eddie and Ellie.  I had a telling off from the oncologist yesterday.  He said I was not taking it seriously enough.  He told me not to walk my four dogs as if they jerk on the lead it could snap my spine and I will end up in a wheelchair.  I try and do all the things that I used to be able to do but will have to be more careful.  I wont stop walking my dogs though that is my time , chilling out in the woods.  I hope to go to David Austin Roses this weekend.  Their rose gardens are magnificent.  Hope everyone has a good day/ results etc.

  • Hi Lee 2

I would love to visit David Austin rose garden. I have a few for mine. Have you got any?
    Please post some pictures x

  • Hi Lee

You do have to be careful.

I was  pottering in the garden and thought I had hurt my back, lost the use of my leg, told oncologist.

She did say could be cancer, but we will get an MRI done.

The mri showed 3 fractures in my pelvis, it turned out was not cancer, but  osteoporosis, caused by all the treatment  I had been on,  as treatment can cause thinning of bones.

The fractures healed though did not  line up, so walking is not so easy.

So yes you must take care and work out another way, to walk your dogs ,  prewarned  is pre armed.

  • Hi Lee 2, our oncologists are vital but also human and sometimes overzealous in my experience and they are definitely not pyschologists. Keep doing what is good for you but do be careful.

  • Hi Ellie, sorry for the late reply, I had a last minute appointment with the hospice consultant, then chasing up the meds,"successfully,"he prescribed on top of other things I had to do, I'm glad to sit down.

Wow that's a lot of meds my friend, and water, I'd be full after all that, but you must have some chocolate, it's good for your memory, and glad you're good for your glass of wine.

No thanks needed my friend, but appreciated, I'm sure if our situations were reversed you'd do the same, and it's a honour to represent the forum

Ellie and everyone I've made 2 cards for the service, I'd like you to choose, and Ellie I've put your message on a pre loved teddy bear from the hospice

love Eddie and Sheila xx  Ellie if you don't like it, let me know
