Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for May. If you would like to catch up on April's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Well Angie and Lilii, I rang and unfortunately they were closed because of the bank holiday. I may have been lucky if I'd gone to the ED but last time I was there when Mrs Tvman was 3 months into her cancer journey we didn't get seen for 11½ hours!! Also, it's Mrs Tvman's birthday today and we went to Belfast because she wanted expensive earrings lol. I'll be on the phone tomorrow morning at 9am for sure.
Take care
Tvman
Oh Stella, that is such a funny picture of Winston. He looks so relaxed.
I'm glad your mum got such good news.
I loved your latest floral display.
Is the photo beside it the cloisters of Glasgow Uni?
Helen
Please wish Mrs TVman a happy Birthday. Hope she had a nice day and got her new earrings. By the way I still make champ here. After reading your text I purchased some Scallions today and will make champ and sausages tomorrow. We also used to go to a cafe st the corner of one of the street leading to the Lisburn pedestrian zone on Saturday morning before going to the fruit and veg market. Their Ulster Fry was magic. . What I miss a lot is a chunk of Veda with Butter. Can’t get it here, which is a tragedy in my world
. Have a cosy evening and good luck for tomorrow xx
Big hugs from Angie and Lilly xx
Hi Stella, I have been better today thank you. strictly indoors as it's been a rainy old day here but managed to get some chores done and had family visit which was nice.
My dog is a rag tag mixed breed which we had as a lock down rescue puppy not as photogenic as Winston, Lilli or Poppy but she was a lifesaver in lockdown and she has been a treasure again over the last few months.
Hope everyone else that has had a bump in the last few days is feeling a little better.
Eddie loved your post about looking after the twins, that cannot have been easy so well done to you .
Tvman, happy birthday to Mrs Tvman, glad you had a special day and hope you get your meds sorted asap tomorrow.
Early night for me hoping for a good nights sleep.
Love to all
Marie xx
Hi Marie, good to hear you had a better day today, shame about the weather though, hasn't it been awful, I'm not surprised you had a cosy day indoors, and lovely that you had the family round.
Awww she's lovely, your furry friend has characte, and anyway it's how they make you feel is what matters and the bond you have.
Thank you my friend, but I always shed a tear when I'm with the little ones, but the good feelings dominate.
Enjoy your early night, and sleep well.
Eddie xx
Hi All, Well Tvman now you have me worried! I do hope they can arrange something when you phone this morning! I take it this has never happened before? Just you hang on in there and don’t make that the excuse for not shopping either Mrs T please wish her a very happy birthday from V&I and many more of them!

Hi Marie, I’m just trying to catch up. Just read your return from the borders post that included your mention of Ulls and making friendships here under the circumstances. Oh yes you can make very strong friendships here, especially because the others here know exactly what you are going through and here you get all the support you need! I look forward to chatting to you again soon!
Love Annette x
Hi Ellie, Yes Ulls wife told us that too, which we will of course at 1pm on the day. She knows it is too far for us to travel at the moment and of course understands we would be there if it was possible and of course this includes you as well.
I hadn’t realised your eyes had got just as bad. Is there any signs of them removing the cataract in the near future?
Love Annette x
