What are you watching?

I am glad you found this thread helpful. I am a tv addict, there I’ve said it, worse things to be addicted to I am sure. 

We loved Ann Droid. I adore Diane Morgan so watch anything she is in. She also wrote the series which is why I think she plays Linda so well. The only annoying thing since we watched is my husband keeps going around the house saying “Sue Sue Sue”. One programme we did watch that Diane was in, was last one laughing on prime video. Several comedians are in one room, and they have to make the others laugh whilst keeping a straight face themselves. Her quick, dry sense of humour gave her a good game. 

We don’t have Apple TV so I haven’t watched Home, but I do like George Clarkes amazing spaces. Our daughter had a Vauxhall Agila which she absolutely adored, but when it came to sell it, she sold it to a couple who appeared on amazing spaces. They turned her little Agila into a little camper van. It was incredible.

Been a busy week, so not much time to relax, but dis catch the new Ted Lasso (sorry it’s on Apple).

When I can I love to watch/listen to The Proms - the compilation episode last night with music from sci fi films was really very good.

My wife has just started to watch the first couple of seasons of Race across the World - it is interesting how it seems to be so much rawer than the current series, a little less polished and indeed more watchable.

I am also enjoying the coverage of The Hundred competition- it is a while since I attended a match but catching it on TV does capture some of the fantastic atmosphere of the day…

I like race around the world because not only do you get to see so many places that I will never get to visit myself, but you really get to know the contestants, they all have their own stories. My favourite season was season 3 in Canada. Just breathtaking. This year they started in Italy, but I was disappointed as they didn’t stay there long, I’m part Italian. 

I am busy packing the house up for a move in a couple of weeks, but it is very hot here today so we are resting this afternoon. Just started watching Murder in a small town on Netflix, which I am enjoying so far. It stars Rossif Sutherland whose father is also an actor Donald Sutherland.

Good luck with the move!!  My wife and I have just spent the last 2 weeks sorting my daughter out for a move and it was so tiring!!!  (She moved back into our house for a while…so still trying to fit a quart into a pint pot).  

I am enjoying sitting still for a while - watching The Hundred.

Chelle, your leading sentence had me cracking up, I suppose my mom and I are also in the TV addict club, so at least we all took the first step and admitted it! LOL

We're also watching the new season of Ted Lasso, and we started a new limited series called The English with my dad the other day. It's on Prime for us, and it's kind of like 1883, at least that's our opinion so far. It actually came out several years ago, but none of us have ever watched it.

I just googled the English, looks good, quite like Emily Blunt.  Still watching Billions but will put this on the list.

Watching my brilliant career on Netflix, so far rather fun. it is about a young lady in Australia who wants to be a writer but really must get married in the 1900. 

We finished up The English yesterday, and I didn't like the ending, but that's all I'll say so I don't give away any spoilers. Emily Blunt is amazing in it Lee, so hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as we did. Like I said, it's similar to 1883, so there's period violence.

I just watched the trailer for My Brilliant Career, and that's going to be the next one my mom and I watch, we'll probably start that this evening. I don't think my dad will be joining us for that one! lol Thanks for the recommendation Stella! 

I was googling my brilliant career TV series review. I didnot know this is from a landmark novel / semi autobiography written by an Australian female author Miles Frankinin 1901. The most prestigious literary awards in Australia is named after her. 

There is also a film adaptation starring Judy Davis and Sam Neil!
