What are you watching?

We are watching Landman, not sure if I like it or not?

My mom and I enjoyed Landman, especially some of the conversations between Tommy and Angela, let alone some of the wild and crazy dinner scenes at the house with everyone. The pirate theme dinner is one of my favorites. I feel like it's also way more political than other Taylor Sheridan series that are more neutral.

Stacy I am racking my brains, we have just watched a Taylor Sheridan series, but I can't remember what it was.  Was it The Madison?

Now I'm curious what it was, as well as what you thought of this mystery series. 

You were just watching Landman the other day, was it about an oil company? There's 2 seasons of Landman available.

If it was The Madison, a lot of the series takes place in Montanna while they stay at three small cabins that the husband and his brother built. Only one short season of The Madison is available, only 6 episodes. 

(I'm trying to word those carefully so I don't give out any spoilers!)

There are other Yellowstone prequels, such at 1883 and 1923, in addition to Dutton Ranch and Marshals. 

There's also Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown, in addition to Lioness. My parents watched Lioness before I did, and then I got hooked on it. Season 3 starts in August, that's probably not a series that everyone would enjoy.

Hi we have watched all of the above,  For some reason I didn't like Tulsa King so my husband finished watching it.  I haven't watched Mayor of Kingstown or Lioness, will put them on my list.  Has anyone watched The Agency, is it any good?

I like Michael Fassbender but this got such a poor Guardian review...

I'm guessing everyone has already tried the original, Danish seasons of The Killing with DI Sarah Lund and her famous jumper...and The Bridge (Swedish)...

I've watched just one episode of the Welsh noir, The Light in the Hall, and I'm not sure if i will continue with it. I think my tastes have changed!

Hi Rose oh I didn't know it got a poor review.  It looked good on the paramount preview maybe will give a miss.  Never heard of the other two you mentioned, are they worth a watch?

The Killing (season 1 is much longer than seasons 2 or 3) and The Bridge are really very well made, and if you enjoy character development, relationships or locations as much as the plot, you will most probably enjoy them! We were glued to both

Why not give The Agency a go? One man's meat is another man's poisson and all that...

Today is a beautiful day here and the harebells are out.

Hi Rose the harebells are beautiful.  Watched the last two episodes of Dutton Ranch.  All I can say is bring on the next one quick.
