What are you watching?

This week I have been watching the assembly on itv x. This is a wonderful, honest, funny and emotional series of interviews with celebrities from a  group of autistic, neurodivergent &/or learning disabled interviewers I have laughed, I have cried, and I have been amazed by the talent of these group of people who also sing and perform as a treat for the celebrity. No questions are off the table, they can ask them anything they like, and most of the celebrities answer honestly, with empathy and care for the person interviewing them. It is a beautiful programme, and a must watch. 

We starting watching M.I.A. last night enjoyed it very much, although it is quite violent.  Is The Madison worth watching?  We are waiting for the final two episodes of Dutton Ranch (love Beth and Rip).

I really think you'll enjoy The Madison as much as my mom and I did. It's way different than all of the other Taylor Sheridan shows that are available, and I think that's what people really loved about season one and cannot wait until season two arrives.

Episode 7 of Dutton Ranch was wild! No spoilers in case anyone hasn't watched it yet, but I feel so bad for Carter!  Oreana is such a,,, well I won't say it on here! LOL

We're looking forward to season 3 of House of the Dragon starting on Sunday.

I wasn’t sure about the Madison to begin with, but glad I stuck with it. I am not very keen on Marshals and not sure I will finish the series. Love Dutton Ranch! How can you not love Beth and RIP. I have just watched a new series on Netflix which I really enjoyed. It’s called I will find you. It starts off with a man in prison for the murder of his son. Lots of twists and turns, I really enjoyed it. Trying to find new things to watch today as I won’t be leaving the house in this heat! 

Hi Chelle, thanks for the Netflix series recommendation, mom and I are always on the look out for good series to get hooked on, and to help pass the time with. We actually saw that one advertised, and it looked good, so we'll definitely give it a go.

We share your thoughts on Marshals, it just didn't grab us enough like Dutton Ranch does with Beth and Rip's storyline. The only issue with The Madison I had is how many scenes made me cry, granted I'm overly emotional, so if anyone is like me you need to have a box of tissues close by. Stay cool today, and keep us updated if you find any other good series or movies to watch.

Just to say I binge watched "This is not a murder mystery" (Channel 4 in the UK) this week.

Don't know you can find it in the US, Stacy, but it's not violent (it's more "cosy" crime) and it is riveting with luscious settings...

Have you got Disney plus - Stacy? I like SHOGUN on it. It is an epic story set in mid age Japan. I watched it twice with my mum, we both really enjoyed it. 

I shall add this is not a murder mystery to my watch list. 

I have just watched Steve and Alice on Disney +. It stars Nicola Walker who I think is a fab actress. She was in the last tango in Halifax which is one of my favourite shows, also she starred in Unforgotten and more recently the split. All really good programmes to watch if you haven’t seen them already.

Hi Rose,

Unfortunately it's not being streamed anywhere in the US, I watched the trailer for it, and it reminded me of the Knives Out movies on Netflix, as well as Murder on the Orient Express, and Death on the Nile movies. I'll keep an eye out for it, in case it gets released here.

Thanks for the recommendation Stella, we watched the trailer for Shogun, and it looks good, so we'll binge watch that this week. We have Disney plus and Hulu, and most of the different streaming apps so we welcome all the recommendations we can get.

I watched the trailer for Alice and Steve this morning, and not sure how I missed that one Chelle, it looks good so we'll be starting that one as well. It doesn't take us long to binge watch new series.
