Hi, I am a long time lurker here and have finally found the courage to post.
I am 71, a former primary school teacher and I live in South Lanarkshire Scotland with my husband.
Over my time lurking, I have been very amused but also saddened by many posts.
I find you all very inspirational.
I have a very lengthy profile which I just updated today.
I am looking forward to joining in the conversations.
Helen
Hi Helen, Oh poor you! If you have read my profile, you must have a lot of time on your hands! Lol!
I have now sent you a Private Message. If you look at the top right hand side of this page, where you can see the lightening strike, that tells you the number of new posts in the group and next to that you will see a number 1. You should also get an email notification that you have a PM, so just click on either the number 1 or follow the instructions on the email!

Hi,
I just realised that I had never replied to your welcome.
I have managed to get myself out a few times for lunch and/or a walk.
I love the seaside and will hopefully go there soon.
Thank you again,
Helen
Hi Codfish,
I've only just realised that I never replied to your message.
I've not participated much since I joined.
I was getting ready to post my favourite songs when the thread was stopped. Oh well.
Yes, you are correct. It is the price for being alive but I wish it was so much easier.
The neuropathy is my worst symptom. If I didn't have that I would be so much more mobile and be able to cope with the other things.
I'll maybe get my husband to take me a wee trip tomorrow.
I didn't want to disturb him today as he's busy in the garden.
Take care,
Helen
Hi Helen, it's lovely to hear from you again, and I hope your doing ok, though sorry to hear your neuropathy is such an issue, I was advised that exercise was effective at managing it, and it's helped me a little, and I hope your enormous wonderful family are all well, any new additions?, I have one, my auntie was married at the weekend so a wonderful new, official, member to the family, good luck with getting out tomorrow, with hubby

Hi Helen
If people stop posting on a thread, you can always start it up again by hitting the reply button and saying something new! It was an interesting thread, and worth carrying on with.
Hope you do manage to get out with your husband, it is very refreshing to have a change of scene. I've just been to a garden centre.....I didn't buy anything, except for lunch in the cafe, but it made a change!
xxx Kate
Hi Helen, It’s good to hear from you! I too love the seaside, where would you take a run to if you were having a day trip?
Just in case you think the Lovely Morning Chit Chat has disappeared next week, there is a new Post at the start of every month and the old one is closed but you can still answer a post from March if you go to the April one! Hope you managed your day out!
Love Annette x
