Hi, I have Stage 4 breast cancer with metastatic bone cancer. I have tumours on my spine but the one on L5 means I have to wear a brace to stabilise my spine. I've recently had fractures to my pelvis. I've had so many scans recently but I'm now experiencing pains in my shoulders, travelling down my arms. I don't know what to do. Is this significant, should I flag it up with my GP or do I just live with it along with all the other aches and pains I have. I don't want to make a fuss. I don't want to waste more money on scans for me. What should I do?

  • Hi   I am so sorry you are experiencing this. Please do not think for one minute that you will be wasting anybody’s time by speaking to the GP. That is what they are there for. This new pain is obviously worrying you, and the cause could be absolutely anything, it may well be a trapped nerve that can be alleviated with medication, but the important thing is a GP appointment can put your mind at rest! Please give them a call today.

  • Hi LC2909, and a warm welcome to the forum, though I'm sorry you have to be here, as Chelle, has said, the health service is there for you, and you must never think your some kind of burden, you are absolutely NOT, so please call your CNS or GP. I also have tumours on my spine, with fractures to my spine, pelvis and sacrum, caused by RT and osteoporosis, which a few months ago moved to my shoulders, so I have fractures there now, and for a time had shooting pains in my upper arms, I'm not for a second saying this is what you have, that is for your Dr's to tell you, so let them know, and hopefully they can do something for you, best wishes
