Wow Stella, managing a walk so soon after treatment, amazing, I'm impressed, but I'm not surprised Winston wouldn't go out in a hail storm, not something any cat I've ever had would do, maybe a light drizzle. And my appointments are not all at hospital, 2 are, 2 are therapy, bloods and lunch with friends, listen to your body.

Hi Stella, I hope you didn’t overdo it going out so soon after treatment, maybe Winston has the right idea! You have to pace yourself!
We have had quite a few flurries of snow over the last couple of days and the hills look like a picture postcard. So you enjoy your garden I take it. I wonder where you order your bulbs from? I used to order mine from Morgan & Thomson and although the bulbs were ok, the actual plants seemed to suffer in the post. Then I realised when I bought plants, bulbs etc in the Garden Centre in the next town they came up looking strong. Maybe because they had been grown in Scotland and they were cheaper too!

Hi Annette
I ordered my dahlia plants from Gilbert’s Dahlia. They supposed to be all British grown and less likely to have disease. I am not much of a gardener but rather like cut flowers and arranging flowers.
I found the amitriptyline is making me into a zombie. I think I may just try to tough it out with the pain instead.
Grey and damp here not very scenic at all. X
Good afternoon all
the theme on one or two posts has been plants and gardens this is my contribution today I needed to get out the day is dark and it was taking my mood down with it the weather was too wet to walk and so I took myself off to a garden centre . Before you get carried away with my enthusiasm I should say that I am by no means a gardener so I walked through the various plants etc on display directly to the coffee shop where I enjoyed a coffee and cake reading my book in very nice surroundings.the chatter and noise around lifted my mood I like people watching and it’s nice to listen without having to join in .I like flowers in the house and am always grateful for the gift of flowers as for growing them I’ll leave that to those who know what they are doing . I hope this day is turning out to be a good one for each of you x Chris
Good afternoon Chris, I do love flowers in the house too. They always brighten my day when I look at them. I just can’t get Lillies because they are poisonous for cats and I would not have my furry companion exposed to the danger. Coffee and cake does hit the spot alright. For my sins I love fresh cream cake with a coffee or two. Hope you have a good week ahead and that the rain will stop for you.

I have just got some flowers this morning. Took me forever to arrange it as I was kept nodding off.
Hope this will cheer everyone up a bit.
Hi everyone!
I had a lovely walk through the woods with Candy this morning. It involved clambering under and over several fallen trees! It's the first time I've ventured into the woods since the storm, and I was expecting that there would be some damage.
Unfortunately, the biggest tree in my garden has also been a victim of the winds, so a man with a chain saw is coming tomorrow. It's a real shame, as the tree was very decorative, and a focal point in the garden. Will just have to plant more trees and hope I get to see them flourish!
Hope everyone has had a good day today

Good morning everyone. I hope you don't mind me joining this chat. I have secondary breast cancer with mets in spine, pelvis and ribs. I too love walking in the woods (we are lucky as we have woods a ten minute walk away) and also a canal. I have four dogs and walk them every day. They keep me going and are a reason for me to get out of bed every day (and my husband of course ). The sun is shining and I hope everyone has a good day.
