This year has not started on the best footings.
My daughter had breast c two years ago, scan's done regularly basins, one last august and they phoned last Monday, to say we have to have you in, in the next two weeks, pre assent Friday another procedure, why has it taken so long, to inform her, I am angry , thats ne ranting, sorry.
Hi Ellie, you have every right to be angry, 5 Months to be informed is ridiculous, going through something similar with my eldest, I understand your feelings my friend, it's so much harder when it's your kids, and we always think the worst at times. Hopefully they are just, being thorough, rant away Ellie, I will have everything crossed for your little girl.

I read the posts most days but hold back from joining in . Your wig looks great I too lost my hair and had three wigs two were exactly the same another one was a bit longer and different colour.I wore them all the time and it made me feel better and encouraged me to put a bit of an effort into the rest of how I looked. I am now not wearing them all the time my hair has grown a bit and is white and gong a bit curly still very short .My 11 year old grandson said I looked trendy and I had more hair than him in some places .obviously Nanny being challenged follicle ways isn’t a big thing to him .
I promised myself to make an effort to go out every day this week and I’m pleased to say I have it’s been a bit of a challenge with the cold and could have found excuses not to but I’m glad I did. I would also like to pass ion my best wishes to all who haven’t had the best start to the new year I hope that things will improve for you and yours . At the moment I am writing this whilst my husband is watching the rugby not really watching as it’s not my bag maybe will look for a film to watch on the iPad and finish of the end of the Christmas sweets. One Day at a time …. Hope today is better day all round x Chris
Hi Chris
I agree by having the wig on. I feel better about myself and trying to make a bit more effort in general. It is all part of try to live well with cancer.
I may now able to a negative into positive! X
Thank you so so much for everyone’s kind reply. It bought tears to my eyes. I think I will turn this hair loss into something positive and try different hairstyles.
It is very frosty here today. But everything sparkles under the winter sun quite lovely indeed. I had an outing with my new hair and glad it kept my head warm!
Hugs to your all xx
5 months is not acceptable at all! I really hope it is nothing serious. Everything crossed for your daughter x
Hi Chris, Sorry I’m just catching up after a few busy days. That’s great your hair is starting to grow back. When mine was so thin, you could see through to my scalp, a specialist hairdresser at the Maggie Centre advised me to try Plantar39 shampoo, which did make a difference. Then at the oncology clinic I was talking to someone who lost all of her hair during chemo and she recommended W Grow Me shampoo and Conditioner. Although it is dearer than the other one, it made a huge difference. I still use it and you only need a little as it goes a long way! You order it through the Internet and watch out for special deals. The W stands for Watermans and they have lots of specialist items for hair.
Love Annette x
