Afternoon Ellie!
It is very quiet on here today, I agree.
I met up with a friend in a cafe this morning for a chin wag and a cup of tea. That was the highlight of my day!
Hope you enjoy your trip out tomorrow. It's good to read you're getting out and about again.

Good morning Ellie, you put a lot of people to shame with your positive attitude towards your challenges. You are an example of how to cope with misfortune. Fingers and toes crossed you will get easier once you got your eye operation. Wishing you all a pleasant weekend

Just put phone down, my brother had 1st oncology today, he was going threw the treatment he has to have, he is a worrier, baby brother so a good talking to. lol.
Enjoy the weekend coming up
Hi Ellie, I do hope your little brother does well on his treatment. At least he has a shining example to look up to ( even if he is taller than you! lol ). You would think men would not worry as much as women but it is not the case. Vince had his colonoscopy last week and we were told all is well, back to clinic in 6 months & follow up colonoscopy in 3 years. We were so pleased we went out for lunch the following day!
Then two days later he got a letter with an appointment to see a Urologist and to have further tests immediately after that. Firstly he went into denial saying it can’t be for me, I had Bowel cancer, nothing to do with my bladder! (That was after I explained to him what a Urologist dealt with and what the tests were!!). Then he started to worry thinking they had misread the scope! I ended up phoning the Surgeon’s secretary for her to explain. Turns out it was nothing to do with the colonoscopy but a CT scan he had the week before, the surgeon said he saw a thickening of the bladder and it needed investigation. Better to be safe than sorry. Well, like you and your brother, I ended up sitting him down and explaining there are always ups and downs etc and you just have to deal with them a day at a time!
I hope we both managed to talk some sense into them so they don’t worry, what do you think? It is Great to hear you are starting to get out and about, enjoy every minute, as I am sure you will! Have a great weekend everyone!
