Hi all,
I was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour at 24. I’ve since had two brain surgeries and radiotherapy. I have scans every 6 months and my latest one was a couple of weeks ago. I get the results on Thursday and I’m so anxious I can’t sleep. Does anyone have any tips or advice for how they get through the wait and how to calm nerves on the day?
thank you
dom
Hi Bev
I got a phone call before 9 this morning, to say my oncologist had phoned in sick, so my phone appointment for the afternoon was cancelled.
However, I have felt unwell for a couple of days, and was at GP surgery this afternoon....they managed to get my latest scan report, so I do know the results now! All is still stable. Great!! But nothing showing on the scan to explain my latest 'unwellness', which is frustrating.
I do have several 'other' health conditions, which are much more of a problem to me than the cancer, which has never caused me any bother.
It is all part of life's rich tapestry...
Hope you got good news today!
XX Kate
