  • Hubby and i went to curry's to buy a freezer picked one, three  week delivery, no thanks came home on line forty pounds cheaper and then could have next day delivery.

So have stayed online with that company.

  • I would stick with them as well Ellie, just got to fill it up now, I make lots of soups, , stews, tomato and fruit sauces and currys which seem to taste better having been frozen,

  • I usually fill my freezer space up with bread, when it has been reduced in the shop. It is a cheap way to keep the freezer filled up, and it runs more efficiently when it's full! I don't actually eat much bread anymore though.

  • Hi Puddock, I freeze bread as well but usually cut a loaf into 3 first as I often go weeks without eating any and I don't like waste, If your after cheap fillers it's blackberry season, I have put over 20 bags of them in lately as well as loganberrys and blackcurrants.

  • Yes, I freeze sliced bread in smaller bags, so I can just defrost what I need.

Our weather is like winter here, so the blackberries aren't ripe yet! The apples on my tree are coming along nicely though, must be all the rain we've been having, swelling them up.

Will send some of our rain in Ellie's direction....sounds like she could do with some!

  • Please  do, just looking at temp still 21 and humid, no rain here  for weeks, my water butt is even empty. Bit like my purse.

  • Hi Puddock, it's 22 degree's here falling to 18 at 4am, luckily there is a nice breeze, I'm sure Ellie would love the rain but not when she's out

  • More so if my washing is on the line, hate that. lol

  • Hi Ellie, when I bought my house in 1983 my nan gave me 2 clothes horses which i still use and have never needed repairing, and I know she had had them at least 20 years, modern ones wouldn't last that long.

    Eddie xx

  • That is why i am still going, not a modern one.
